We can't fully explain the story of how Compass Tiny Homes came to be without explaining our past. Nearly fifty years ago, our parents started their own construction business and through the years, they worked on everything from small projects to multimillion dollar homes. They also had other projects that came along, like raising us three boys. Throughout our lives, our parents taught us not only the value of hard work but also the importance of integrity and holding ourselves to a higher standard. Even now, as "us boys" have taken over, it's these powerful principles that still guide the success of our business today. Now, with the help of our wonderful wives, we all work together to bring a feeling of family to every build.
Looking back to about ten years ago, we all lived in spacious beautiful homes, and while they had their advantages, we began to realize something... That lifestyle wasn't a real source of happiness or contentment but instead, felt like a burden. We began to understand that happiness and contentment came from simple things, like time with family, friends and doing what we could to help others.
It was around this time that we started hearing about the "tiny house" movement. While we were a bit hesitant at first, there was something so appealing about it and we couldn't get the idea out of our minds. After a few years, we decided to take the plunge, sell our homes, and drastically simplify and downsize. After years of living this way, we've never looked back. Now, we have more time for what really matters in life, and we have the freedom to experience things we never thought possible. We feel so passionately about this way of living and are excited to use our knowledge of building to help others realize their dreams.
Some things have changed over the years, and even a new generation has come along, but some things will never change. We still apply those early lessons our parents taught us and together as a family, we all have a share in making Compass Tiny Homes possible.
We love the freedom and contentment that living simply brings and now, it's our desire to share this with you. We feel confident that we can help you to follow your own inner compass and "Find Your Way Home".
